Eastern Rhodes

On our fourth day we headed out on the road again, but this time it was just us. We were slightly delayed in our departure because our rental car would not start. Fun! So we had to get someone to jump it for us. Kind of annoying, but luckily it didn't happen again while we were renting it. So, for our daily adventure we decided to go check out Epta Piges, seven springs and the village of Lindos which were both supposed to be sites we shouldn't miss. Unfortunately, we were not that impressed with the seven springs. I guess being from Northern California we're a little spoiled with the redwoods. That's okay, we took a short hike in the forest and then continued on our way. Our next major stop was definitely worth the trip and that was Lindos. This is a village that lies below the Acropolis of Lindos. The village is filled with white 17-century houses that climb the mountainside, some with mosaic courtyards outfront. Lindos also lies on the sea and is a popular spot for sunbathers. By the time we had arrived in Lindos and had lunch we didn't really feel like sunbathing, but we did take a nice nap on the beach and then walked up to the Acropolis and through the labrynth alleyways of the village.
